Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

The characteristics that God wants in our lives are seen in the ninefold fruit of the Spirit. The Spirit of God works faithfulness in us, both to God and to people. It is the characteristic of the man who is reliable.

The ability to serve God faithfully through the years and through the temptations of life is not something we achieve by heroic virtue. It comes from the Spirit.

Application

What we must do more to live by the Spirit? (Galatians 5:25-26 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.)
